Heavy turnover likely at State Board of Education
Even before the first vote is cast, it's clear that the State Board of Education will look much different in 2013 than it does today.
Four members of the 15-member board have chosen not to seek re-election, and six other incumbents — all Republicans — are facing April primary challenges .
The large slate of primaries and open seats could rebalance the ideologically riven board, which has courted controversy in recent years over science and history standards.
