Mt. Enterprise: MEISD sets 7-cent property tax increase
Mount Enterprise Independent School District trustees approved a total tax rate of $1.20 per $100 valuation for 2010-11 during its regular meeting Monday. The new rate means school district property owners will see a 7-cent increase from last year's $1.13. Wylie: School Board Looks To Buy Land
The Wylie school board decided during its regular meeting Monday night to try and purchase 25 acres of land on the west side of the high school. The land is part of 30 acres owned by Lee Bledsoe. Wylie Superintendent Joey Light said buying the land would be a move for the future. “If we ever want to have future growth, it makes sense to go to the west,” he told the board. “It’s hard to project what we would do in the future.
