Richardson ISD voters: Yep, there’s a runoff
It’s a blue-moon election for Richardson ISD, made a bit confusing by law and custom for other districts. On Saturday, three candidates faced off for the only contested seat on the Richardson school board. The final results had challenger Rachel Chumney with 44.85% of the vote, incumbent Lanet Greenhaw with 41.56% and second challenger Bonnie Abadie with 13.59%.

Sealy: SISD: Two new trustees
Sealy Independent School District will see a couple new faces on the school board as Ryan Reichardt and Brian Owen join the team along with the re-elected Robert Arnold.

Only ONE Person Voted In The Lytle ISD School Board Election
Yes, only one. In a small school district near San Antonio, the school board vote between Patty Cortez and Christina Mercado was decided by just one vote—the only vote, it seems. Mercado won, though the San Antonio NBC affiliate WOAI is reporting that Lytle is at the crux of its own hanging chad incident:

What does early voting turnout mean?
Alvarado ISD school bond supporters were scratching their heads Tuesday trying to figure out the meaning of 420 people casting early ballots for the bond election while the city election received only 15 early votes. Early voting for the school bond election, the race in Ward 3 and the vote on extending liquor sales to newly annexed territory ended after press time Tuesday. Election Day is Saturday. “Traditionally, it would favor the affirmative for the school bond and I hope that holds true,” AISD Superintendent Dr. Chester Juroska said about the early turnout.
