United ISD to Cancel Classes Due to Heavy Rains; School WILL NOT be in session for May 22, 2017
United ISD will cancel all classes and close all departments for Monday, May 22, 2017 due to the heavy rains sustained in the Laredo area. Schools will be closed to all students and staff members, with the exception of custodians, principals, and supporting administrators, who will assess the school buildings and surrounding facilities for rain and hail damage. Additionally, bus transportation will not be available. A SchoolMessenger notice has been sent to all parents and employees informing them of this information as well. The districtwide school closure is only expected to be in effective for Monday, May 22nd and regular hours will resume on Tuesday, May 23, 2017.
