Advertising on the most viewed page of TexasISD.com will be sold
exclusively on a month by month basis.
Tier II
Dedicated Advertising
for a specific category
An advertiser may choose to be the exclusive advertiser for individual news
category when available. Some exclusions apply. Call or email
for availability.
Tier III
Advertising in rotation
with other advertisers.
Any news category without dedicated advertising will be subject to the rotating
banner advertisements. Rotating advertisers will be limited to 10 participants
at a time to keep from further diluting the exposure of the rotating
advertisers. Call or email

Billing & Terms:
Banner advertising invoiced
and billed as soon as the advertiser verbally or otherwise commits to
advertising during a their specified time period. Billing will be subject
to Net/30 terms. With a 10 % penalty for any payment not postmarked within the
term period. TexasISD.com will need to be notified no later than 5 days prior to
termination date if an advertiser wishes to extend advertising. Extensions
are only available when no other advertiser(s) have filled the available
position(s). As of this time TexasISD.com doesn’t accept credit cards.
If your organization requires a Purchase Order number to be included on the
invoice, it is up to you to provide us with a

Banner advertising needs to
be exactly 468 x 60 pixels with a resolution no higher than 300 dpi. in GIF
format. Animated GIF files are welcome. Animated or multi-frame GIF files
are to be compiled into one file prior to submission to TexasISD.com.
Advertisers may choose to host their banner ad in their own web space. If
this is your choice, TexasISD.com won’t be responsible for operation of the ad
and once the ad is running, notification is required prior to changing the
content of a remotely hosted ad. Advertisers are responsible for developing
their own ads.
Enforcement:
TexasISD.com has put in
place these and other policies to ensure that all advertisers are treated fair
and equally. If in any case special considerations are needed, it is the
prerogative of TexasISD.com to suspend any or part of these policies in order to
facilitate the needs of our advertisers while keeping in mind the necessity of
equality and fairness to our other advertisers. This doesn’t extend to
the point of infringing on currently running or pre-paid advertisements without
reimbursement to the advertiser on a daily prorated scale.
Any
violation of these policies, whether intentional or other wise, could result in
the immediate termination of advertising and forfeiture of payments for said
advertising. It is totally at the discretion of TexasISD.com to handle
these situations on a case by case basis. These policies are subject to
change without notification. Please review them regularly. It is
sometimes necessary to change in order to maintain TexasISD.com as the leader in
this field.

Specifications: As you can see on the site, we accept ads no larger than 147 x 120 pixels. Animation is fine, but ads with animation need to be in an animated GIF format. We have experimented in the past with using an ad manager that flips through individual frames like slides, but experienced some compatibility problems with some of our users. The ad needs to be one file that is already set with proper borders. Any work that must be done outside of these parameters will be billed at $40 per hour. Before we commence working on the graphics we will give the advertiser the option of working out the problem(s) themselves at no charge. Send all ads as attachments to josh@texasisd.com when you are ready. Remember while our site works well with both Netscape and MS Internet Explorer we do maximize for MSIE 5 and higher so remember it is best to have an add that works well with both browsers. We lay the page out and maximize content based on MSIE 5. Another interesting fact is that although we are using the newest versions of these browsers, there are many out there who are using old, outdated versions one MUST keep this in mind when designing animations and graphics for our page.
What you are buying: When you advertise with TexasISD.com you are not just placing an advertisement on our web site. You are also purchasing the ability to submit material to appear in the Today’s News section. Any articles having to do with your industry and Public Education are welcome. We will post the article and give mention that it was contributed by our sponsor. Also, feel free to send us any press release about your company specifically, as long as it ties back to education. Another added bonus is the use of the Bulletin Board. The bulletin board is designed to be a listing of all of the conferences, meetings, training, etc that are happening with regards to our sponsors. All in all you are buying an all access pass for your company to be featured on the most read daily news source of school officials.
Changes: Changes to ads are welcome at any time and will incur no extra costs as long as the ad maintains the same dimensions as the original. New ads tend to grab the interest of the reader while people tend overlook familiar ones. We can’t guarantee that new ads will go up the moment that they are received, but we will be diligent in getting them posted in a timely manner.
Billing: Standard fee is billed monthly in advance via invoice mailed to you. A $25 setup fee will be added to the first invoice to cover additional time it will take to lay your ad into the web site. We are also interested in beginning a transition to electronic invoices where your invoice will be emailed to you to expedite the process and to eliminate the costs of printing and mailing. Explanation of Pricing: Position #1 through #5 have a unique pricing schedule that steps down from position to position. Availability of these positions is extremely rare and when available will be handled in a separate manner than our general advertising. If you are interested in these spaces you may contact us but if there is currently an advertiser in the space it is spoken for indefinitely. Should one of these spaces become available first opportunity is given to current advertisers before it is opened up to the general public. In reality to have any hope of accessing one of these positions one would need to be a current advertiser in the lower portion already.
Positions #6 through #30 are $50 per month – Maximum number of ads is 30 this is the approximate area of the Today’s news section. The same ads will appear on the Today’s News (TexasISD.com main page) and are the default ads on categorical pages. This also excludes TexasISD’s Lone Finalist subscription publication which is separate from TexasISD.com.
*Moving up in position in spots 6 through 25 is done strictly by attrition. In positions 1 through 5 should a spot become available we will place an ad to advertise the vacancy and the price. The first person to contact us will be given the spot. Within the first 24 hours current advertisers will be given preference after that it is open to anyone.
