The Education Service Center, Region 2 (ESC-2), will be hosting a press conference Tuesday, September 26, 2017, at 2:15 p.m. at the ESC-2 downtown facility at 209 N. Water Street in Corpus Christi to receive donations collected by Texas public schools through the Texas Rural Educators Association (TREA), and through the Leander ISD Educational Excellence Foundation, to distribute to those schools in Region 2 that were impacted by Hurricane Harvey. A portion of the donation will be delivered to the ESC-2 building on Tuesday and will be distributed by ESC-2 staff. The remainder of the total donation will be delivered to the ESC-2 at a later date.  The Leander ISD Educational Excellence Foundation raised over $12,500 to purchase school supplies for students that were impacted by Hurricane Harvey. The ESC-2 would like to publicly thank those who facilitated the collection of the donations at Leander ISD and through the Texas Rural Educators Association (TREA).
