Good evening. Meteorologists and area officials have predicted that our area will most likely be spared of the floods that are forecast for parts of Houston (north of us). With that in mind, La Porte ISD will be open on Wednesday. We also understand that every situation is unique, and we encourage you to make decisions with your family's safety in mind. As always, we place the safety and security of our community first ... Please know that we are constantly monitoring this weather situation and will continue to prioritize the well-being of our stakeholders ... We will act accordingly as conditions dictate, and we will make any changes to our plan by 5 a.m. tomorrow, should conditions warrant that. We appreciate you and wish you well.
