Nov. 8—GRAFORD — Voters here defeated an $85 million school bond Tuesday, leaving planners to weigh next steps for the growing 1A district. "The amount, in today's climate and in today's community, I think at $85 million, was a concern for some of our folks," Superintendent Brandon Perry said Wednesday. "We're going to do a survey in coming weeks to get more information." The bond would have funded a new secondary campus, on land the district already owns, and built a new career/technology education center and other facilities.
