Arrow Educational Services: West Sabine ISD Hires New Supt.
The West Sabine ISD Board of Trustees voted unanimously to welcome in Mrs. Cristal Joslin as Superintendent. Mrs. Joslin comes to WSISD after serving over 21 years in the field of education. Mrs. Joslin provided leadership as the Director of the Deep East Texas College and Career Alliance (DETCCA), an initiative made possible through TLL Temple Foundation to align college and career pathways in partnership with Lamar Institute of Technology and Stephen F. Austin State University, through academic and CTE dual credit opportunities for Jasper ISD, Newton ISD, Woodville ISD, Spurger ISD, Burkeville ISD and Kirbyville CISD. (21)
Most recently, she has served as the Director of State and Federal Programs and Director of Career and Technical Education for Jasper ISD. While in Jasper Mrs. Joslin has been responsible for special populations such as: Homeless, Military, Foster Care, Migrant, Immigrant, Gifted and Talented, and Bilingual/ESL. Additionally, Mrs. Joslin coordinated the AVID, Counseling, Parental Engagement, Communities in Schools, and PELE Childcare Programs. Mrs. Joslin served as Principal in Garland ISD, Associate Principal and Teacher in Dallas ISD, and Teacher in Mesquite and Royse City ISD.
