Pleasanton Independent School District District Announcement:  We are proud to announce that Mrs. Cheryl Barron has been chosen to serve as Superintendent for the Pleasanton Independent School District. Mrs. Barron is in her eighth year of service at Pleasanton ISD.    (19)

The decision to offer the position to Mrs. Barron was formalized in a special Board meeting held Wednesday, April 27, 2022. In January of 2015, she joined Pleasanton ISD as the Director of Human Resources and that same year was promoted to the position of Executive Director of Personnel and Operations. In July of 2019, Mrs. Barron was promoted to the position of Assistant Superintendent of Personnel and Operations.

Mrs. Barron looks forward to continue building relationships throughout the district and community. One of her goals is to work with parents on new methods of involvement in their childs’s education. She is eager to continue working on the many accomplishments of the district with the longstanding leadership teams across campuses and departments.

Cheryl Barron is humbled and grateful for the opportunity to lead Pleasanton ISD into the future to serve as an influence for educational excellence.    (19)
