Monte Alto ISD Announces Lone Candidate

MONTE ALTO, TX – After a wide-ranging and exhaustive Superintendent search process that attracted more than 30 applicants from across the State of Texas, the Monte Alto ISD Board of Trustees are proud to announce that Dr. Rosalinda Cobarrubias has been named the Lone Finalist for the position of Superintendent of Schools. Dr. Cobarrubias earned her Bachelor of Science in Education from Pan American University, later earning both her Master’s and Doctoral Degree in Guidance and Counseling, and Curriculum & Instruction from the University of Texas at Brownsville. Dr. Cobarrubias has over three decades of experience in education and was recently named Principal of the Year for Texas Elementary Principals & Supervisors Association for Region 1, and Principal of the Year Finalist for the National Association of Elementary Principals and Supervisors Association. She is married to Arturo Cobarrubias and her children include Vanessa & Alex Cobarrubias, and her grandson, Jude Cobarrubias. “My fondest hope as a superintendent is that I can be a gatherer of talent, a source of inspiration, and a helper to others, as we strive to forge a path for a sustainable and viable future in a very successful school district.” – Dr. Rosalinda Cobarrubias Monte Alto ISD will now enter the 21-day waiting period required by state law. “Monte Alto ISD is excited to invite Dr. Cobarrubias to be part of our community.
