The Whitharral Independent School District Board of Trustees proudly announced Ben Prowell as the new Superintendent of Schools on February 28, 2022. Ben is currently the Superintendent of Schools at Wellman/Union ISD and has been there since 2018. Prior to Wellman/Union ISD, he has served either as a principal, teacher/coach for the following Districts: Shallowater ISD, Snyder ISD, Brownfield ISD and Levelland ISD. Ben was raised in Weatherford, Texas and received his Bachelor’s degree from Abilene Christian University in 2006 and his Master's degree from Texas Tech University in 2008. His wife, Jarryn, is a Speech Pathologist and received her degrees from Abilene Christian University and Texas Tech University as well. Ben and Jarryn have three children- Emberly-12,Hudson-10,and Preston-9. They are looking forward to making Whitharral their new home.    (25)
