Joe’s Commentary: March 3rd: The Election Day that Many Fail to Realize as Significant
This Election Day has great importance across our state, a fact that most of us fail to realize. This occurs when there are no opposing-party challengers. Therefore, many local and state contests will be decided on March 3rd.
Take this one, for example, Q&A: Ford challenges Huberty in race to be a state rep for Lake Houston area:
Primary elections are just around the corner with early voting from Feb. 18-28 and primary election day on March 3. State Representative candidates for District 127 include incumbent Dan Huberty and Dwight Ford, both running in the Republican primary election. There is no Democratic challenger for this district.
Huberty’s number 1 priority is “Ensuring the full funding of the public school finance reforms implemented in the 86th Session.” I can’t think of a more important issue than continuing to fund HB 3 - Can you? Early voting starts today, election day is March 3. Vote! - js - webmaster@texasisd.com
