Spring Branch ISD considering long-term financial health at community meeetings
Spring Branch ISD considers itself financially healthy, but administrators are worried about the future if the Legislature doesn’t fix public school finance.
Or as Superintendent Duncan Klussmann puts it: the district is approaching an untenable position and can’t wait on the state to fix the school finance system.
“I’m convinced that (school finance) is not going to be changed at the state level,” Klussmann said. “It’s no longer truthful to say ‘let’s wait and see what the Legislature does’. I see a real problem coming for Spring Branch.”
